That's bad enough, but people are giving me dirty looks on the street. I don't blame them, really: No one wants a spring cold. The thing is, I'm 90 percent sure I'm just having an allergy attack. IN THE SPOTLIGHT Is It a Cold, or Is It Allergies? -Allergies Guide Daniel More, MD It's hard to tell the difference between allergies and colds, especially when you're suffering from a stuffy nose. In the midst of a sneezing attack, you're lucky if you can figure out where you left the tissues, never mind what ailment you've got. Diagnosing Allergies -Allergies Guide Daniel More, MD I avoid going to the doctor at all cost, so it took a really bad bout of sniffles to force me to the allergist's office. There I discovered that I'm allergic to everything - dogs, cats, pollen, dust, mice. (Seriously, who is allergic to mice?) Treatment of Allergies -Allergies Guide Daniel More, MD Ideally, it's best if you can avoid your allergy triggers. Hopefully, avoiding rodents won't be a challenge (ugh). I'm going to have more of a problem with pollen, though, especially this time of year.
