Last week's Directory Experts Conference had eight vendor sponsors - and two of those were virtual directory companies! One was the grand-daddy of virtual directory vendors, Radiant Logic while the other was the "new kid on the block," Optimal IdM. Veteran readers of this article should be very familiar with Radiant Logic and its offerings but this is Optimal's first visit to these august pages so let's look a little closer at its products. The perfect vehicle for identity At the recent Directory Experts Conference (DEC), Microsoft's Stuart Kwan (he's Director, Program Management for Identity and Access and an annual contributor to DEC) spoke of what's been called the "identity bus." Hannaford may not have to pay banks' breach costs under PCI, 03/28/08 If supermarket chain Hannaford Bros. was compliant with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard at the time it was breached, banks and credit unions will have a hard time getting it to pay their breach-related costs, according to a Gartner analyst.
